Prediction of functional effects of non-synonymous variations In silico analysis of all 10 detected amino acid exchanges revealed that five of them (I18L, K304N, R531Q, E757K, V776I) can be considered benign, whereas others especially near or within transmembrane regions or ATP-binding domains are possibly (G187W, Y556C, V854F, I866V) or in one case (T1142M) even very likely damaging for protein localization and/or function (Figure 3).
