The key pfdhps codon mutations that are associated with sulfadoxine resistance (S436A/F, A437G, K540E, A581G and A613S) correspond to S382A/C, A383G, K512M/T/E, A553G/C and V585, respectively, in pvdhps.33 So far, only V585 has been observed.
